Creed
Mothering is the noblest vocation for women on the earth. Mothers are nurturers, teachers, house-keepers, cooks, seamstresses, comforters, therapists, advisors, and a host of other “-ers”. Mothers have the capacity—and the desire—to exceed the demands of homemaking and become active, educated, and contributing members of society. These women recognize that opportunities to learn and excel are not restricted to university classrooms or workplaces.
We are intelligent, resourceful, and committed mothers joining forces to advance our academic and practical educations. We see the goodness and gifts in one another, and we seek to improve our minds—and our hearts—by association, teaching, reading, and writing. We look forward to showing the world that we are also (in addition to the professions listed above) readers, writers, artists, thinkers, diplomats, orators, and scientists. We will learn together through great books and by teaching one another. As we learn, we will share our knowledge with our children and others.
